I’m very fortunate to get to meet, hear and interveiw many Irish bands as freelancer with Irish Music Magazine, and indeed blogging. Having interivewed We Banjo 3 and its’ members for other collaborations, I’m a little excited about this coming Sunday night, 9th September. I have not heard this band live, and that’s all about to change.
Sunday night, 9th September sees We Banjo 3 play The Glassworks in Derry, commencing 8pm. This really will be a show worth seeing. We Banjo 3 have just returned from a 5 week tour of America and their short Irish tour gets underway this week.
The band tour for almost half the year annually and there’s just no slowing them down. Now with five critically acclaimed albums this band is one you don’t want to miss. Hailing from Galway and with a huge fanbase worldwide, most notably in the US, Derry is very privilidged to be hosting them this coming weekend.
Hot off the Milwaukee Irish festival stage where they headlined yet again, The Glassworks stage is set to become alive with the best traditional Irish and Bluegrass music this coming Sunday night.
David Howley, Martin Howley, Enda Scahill and Fergal Scahill will not disappoint on Sunday night, I assure you. Come along for what will certainly be a night to remember for some time.
